Yep... Long Time Since I Have Been Here...

So yeah... I haven't updated my livejournal for years. And thanks to Lego he reminded me of this which got me off of facebook for like 10 minutes. So here is what is going on...

Since we last met...

I ended up not going on concert choir tour at the end of last school year, lots of explanations, if you want to know come talk to me...

In the mean time I started to work more... and more, and then I got demoted... still get paid the same, still can't be fired, but I have less responsibility. HAHA Take that Schmitt Music!

My dad and I, plus Mr Ando Calrissian assembled a cabin up north on madeline island and now we can stay up there... the most peaceful place on the earth!

The rock force known as Judging Ronald really took off. Nick, Mike, Lego, and I have really started to do good things and have played a few small gigs... looking for more!

Speaking of gigs... I started to play out a lot more and I have gotten some pretty sweet gigs... Churches, Weddings, I played the faculty band gig at Indianhead Arts Center with some pretty big names, not to mention a couple pretty sweet gigs singing around the cities.

Playing poker pretty well... I'm up a few hundred bucks this school year... cant complain with that.

River Falls finally got the Facebook... I'm addicted...

Taking things a lot easier this semester, and I am truly enjoying it. I am not in concert choir because I would have only been able to perform in 2 concerts out of the 5... So that gives me a lot of time to really relax and think about things. There are some pretty cool things that are happening this semester, most prominent is Jazz I is playing with the Minnesota Orchestra in December... Yeah, I get to be onstage with Doug, Dave, and Kari! Not to mention that Bone-A-Fide is playing really well and things can only get better. Symphony band is amazing! Tjornehoj is in Scotland so now Craig Hara is directing and the ensemble has sky rocketed! We are playing very well for early in the year. Barnett took over the brass studios and it has gotten a lot harder... but it is worth it, we can only get better from it!

I just recieved a relatively big award from WMEA for undergraduate music education. Im sure I really dont deserve it but it is a huge honor, and I am excited that finally our school has been put on the map for music ed in wisconsin! I get the award next week in Madison, should be great because Dr. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Boehlke, and my parents are coming down for it! So next week will be fun!

Realized the truly important things in life... friends, family, love, and living...
